Sunoko is diversifying its operations through a new project – the Sunal alcohol factory in Kovačica, whose construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025. This investment, worth 36 million euros, will enable an annual production of 30 million liters of alcohol, marking Serbia’s first time becoming a net exporter of alcohol rather than an importer.
The Sunal factory, located in Kovačica, will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Alcohol will be produced in three forms: food-grade, pharmaceutical, and bioethanol, with corn as the primary raw material. The project also includes the construction of a storage facility for this cereal, further strengthening local supply and production.
The factory is expected to significantly contribute to the development of the domestic economy and to strengthen Serbia’s export capacity in the alcohol sector.
