The “Pećinci” production center, established in 1976, has a daily processing capacity of 7,500 tonnes of sugar beet. Located 1.5 km south of the town of Pećinci and 45 km west of Belgrade, the former “Donji Srem” sugar factory now stands out as one of the most modern production centers in the region. This facility boasts high processing capacities, achieving a daily production of 1,150 tonnes of sugar from processed beet. Annually, the processing capacity in Pećinci reaches up to 800,000 tonnes. The sugar plant employs over 140 staff members and around 120 seasonal workers during the sugar beet processing campaign period.
